Matthew was a Taylor. Matthew was aged 49 years and a Widower, when he married Hannah Lownds in 1855. They had one son Edward.I can not find any trace of Matthew and Hannah living together. On the 1861 and 1871 census Hannah and Edward are livng with Lydia Lownds in Cheadle. Lydia was Hannah's mother. Matthew died in 1881 aged 75 years.
