David lost his mother, two sister's and brother in 1864 from Low Fever. His father, David, died in 1865. David went to Kingsley to live with his fathers brother, Nathan Lownds, and his family. On the 1891 census David is living in Temperance Row, Kingsley. How appropriate with him being the local Wesleyan Preacher. He was also a Tea Dealer. He married in 1892 when he was 41 yeas old.
