Roy was the second son of Robert and Doris Burston. He was in the Royal Air Force and served in the Middle East during the second world war. Roy was employed at branches of Barclays Bank in Burton-on- Trent, Cheadle and Meir.When Roy died in 1991 aged 67 years his wife emigrated to Australia to be near their son and his family.
