Notes:
Samuel was only 3 years old when his father William died in 1845.Unfortunatly Maria his mother had to put Samuel,Selina aged 5 and George( a baby born 1845)in the Union Workhouse at Cheadle they are on the 1851 census.Maria was able to keep her two eldest sons at home Benjamin aged 16 and Thomas aged 9 years.In 1861 the boys are back home with their mother and Selina is a Servant at Wetley Rocks
