Notes:
George was only a baby when his father William died in 1845. On the 1851 census Maria his mother had to put him to the Union Workhouse, Cheadle with his sister Selina aged 5 years and brother Samuel aged 3 years.Two older boys Benjamin and Thomas stayed at home with their mother.In 1861 the boys are back with their mother and brother Thomas. Selina is a Servant at Wetley Rocks, Staffordshire.
